A modern take on hanging planters with the finest of materials and craftsmanship: These stunningly gorgeous copper hanging planters with antique chains are handcrafted using century-old metal-spinning techniques. Inspired by macrame and Finnish Himmeli traditions, the bowls are carefully spun, one at a time using traditional methods. The process starts with a flat sheet of thin copper, which gradually gets manipulated into a perfect hemisphere bowl. Some signs of this process are noticable and add unique character to the pieces. They are lovely for hanging indoors near a window. We provide enough chain so that you can hang them from the ceiling or a wall hook. The chains come with brass jump rings installed at the end for easy hanging. In the Himmeli tradition, these planters were created to celebrate the Winter Solstice. They represent good fortune for the future.
